 Networking is so important for artists. We typically work in isolation, so staying connected and sharing information and opportunities is what it’s all about. 

Media Loft artists network by email and in person, sharing news and opportunities. We try to attend and bring guests to each other’s openings onsite or offsite to show support.

A web site is in the planning stages that will include information on artists, events and shows. The recent open house was in April ’07. The next open house will be the 1^st weekend of Dec. ’07.

Media Loft is not only a community of working artists. We are working to make it an alternative exhibition destination in Westchester County, NY. 

We want to promote the studio artists. We also want to promote Media Loft for other artists.

The Hallway Gallery was planned for large exhibitions and receptions, and has excellent lighting and good sight lines.

The exhibition calendar for solo and group shows is almost filled for 2008. The space is organized for mostly wall-hung media with some sculpture. Area artists are welcome to apply for a show. There is no fee to show (except a small refundable deposit for possible damage). There is no commission to Media Loft for sales.

Visiting artists install their exhibitions, create all promotional materials and assume all costs for installation and openings. I’ve been to openings that overflow with guests, good food, and live music and sales. Word is getting out and people are coming by to see the shows.

We are happy to offer Media Loft as an alternative gallery space. Good art in the hallways and guests on site improves public awareness and appreciation for Media Loft and for all the artists.
