I do not edition prints. All my prints are unique monotypes or collotypes embellished with hand work in mixed media. To see more unique prints, go to the catalog page.

I was inspired to create the Collective Unconscious Series when I learned about early Hawaiian peoples who believed that kites could deliver messages to the gods in the skies. The kite is the messenger. The kite tails are the message.

Each work in the Collective Unconscious Series is a unique collotype embellished with wax, paint, pen and ink and collage.

Kites date back to China at least 3000 years ago and were flown as a prayer to ensure a good harvest, as thanksgiving, and/or as a charm against illness and bad luck. Buddhist monks probably brought kites to Japan from China and Korea 1500 years ago.
