STUDIO PEEK – 5 Variations on a Collage

This image is the final version of an abstract collage – untitled – created in tones of black, white and grey. This work was donated to the Pelham Art Center where I teach. It’s made with acrylic paint and papers glued on a 12 x 12 inch wood panel. I changed the image and design every time I added paint or papers over a period of 2-3 weeks. I decided to take pictures to have a record of how the work changed – because I remember seeing multiple images of a large oil painting in progress

Fall 2019 Classes

Take a class with an artist who’s taught collage for more than 30 years. Explore and play with collage media in a small, congenial setting with a supportive group at the Pelham Art Center. Work with a different technique and a new collage project each week the teacher has designed for you. Projects include portrait, figure, landscape and abstraction.
